The Cavendish Singers are based in Didsbury, a suburb of Manchester, UK.
We are a group of between forty and sixty singers who come together on a weekly basis to sing for pleasure.
We also give public performances, sometimes organising our own concerts and sometimes joining in with others.
The choir has been in existence since 1985 when a group of parents with children at Cavendish Road Primary School got together to sing. Other than for a few years at another venue, we have been meeting at the school ever since. Our thanks go to the Governors of the school for allowing us to have such a welcoming base all these years.
We have a wide range of singing ability in the choir - there is no audition - so come along to a rehearsal and see if you like it.
At a normal meeting we divide our time between learning a piece for a concert performance, singing some old friends from our repertoire and trying out new songs.
